The Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board has developed a partnership with P. Allen Smith, award-winning garden and lifestyle designer, to help communicate the benefits of soybeans in our everyday lives. Together, we will educate Arkansans on the importance and economic impact the soybean industry has in our state.
P. Allen Smith is also host of the public television program, P. Allen Smith's Garden Home and the syndicated 30-minute show P. Allen Smith Gardens. Smith is one of America's most recognized and respected garden design experts, providing ideas and inspiration through multiple media venues.
He is the author of the best-selling Garden Home series of books published by Clarkson Potter/Random House, including Bringing the Garden Indoors: Container, Crafts and Bouquets for Every Room, published in 2009. His latest book, P. Allen Smith's Seasonal Recipes from the Garden, was released in December 2010. Smith is also a regular contributor on NBC's The TODAY Show.
I’m proud to be part of Arkansas’ farming heritage,” Smith said. “I love the land, my farm and sharing it in many different ways with Arkansans and the world. Through my partnership with the Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board I can go beyond my garden gate to include one of our state’s most valuable crops – the soybean. I’m excited to show the many ways this miracle bean plays a role in our everyday lives.
