Rachael Tucker made an important decision on her college graduation day: she wanted to return to school and pursue a degree in agribusiness.
Not only does she have a communications degree, but she also earned a degree in agribusiness at Arkansas State University.
As the agri program manager at the Arkansas Agriculture Department, Rachael promotes Arkansas Grown, Arkansas Made and Homegrown by Heroes.
“Communications plays a huge role in telling the story of agriculture.”
A major part of her job is promoting the Arkansas Grown and Arkansas Made members on social media. You can also find Rachael planning regional events for farmers markets around the state. Through social media and special events, Rachael is able to educate Arkansans about where and how their food is grown in the natural state.
According to MyMajors, agriculture communication jobs have an average annual wage of $48,140.
