Micha Price, Commodity Merchandiser

ADM Grain Company

Micha Price graduated from Arkansas State University (ASU) with a degree in agribusiness. Although she grew up on a farm in Trumann, Micha dreamed of becoming a sports broadcaster. Before attending ASU, she received valuable advice that changed her career path. She was told to choose a profession based on something she already knew, so agriculture was the perfect choice.

Micha currently works as a commodity merchandiser for ADM Grain Company. Through this position, she utilizes marketing, logistics and research to purchase profitable grain from 300 producers and dealer accounts across three states.

“These farmers trust me and my entail of what I know and my opinion on market outlooks.”

Because ADM is the final destination for many producers in Arkansas, Micha is able to advise them on the best time to sell their grain based on market outlooks. To do this, she analyzes the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) to determine accurate bid prices on grain for that growing season.

ADM’s overall goal is to take care of the producers in the state by providing a profitable price for the purchase of their grain. To find out more about careers in Arkansas agriculture, watch our entire Field to Film series here.
