2017 Ag Census
For more than 175 years, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has called on farmers to complete the Census of Agriculture.
Distributed every five years by the National Agriculture Statistics Service (NASS), it is the USDA’s largest effort to collect data for farmers and ranchers. The Ag Census allows their voices and opinions to be heard when it comes time to make decisions based on farm assistance programs, farm advocacy, rural development and more.
U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue wants farmers and ranchers to show the nation how important and necessary agriculture is to the country.
