Jeremy Ross Extension Soybean Agronomist and Professor | University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture

Driven by a passion for advancing Arkansas agriculture, Dr. Jeremy Ross has spent his career helping soybean producers turn research into results.

As Extension Soybean Agronomist and Professor with the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture, Dr. Ross leads the Soybean Research Verification Program (SRVP), a hands-on initiative that helps farmers apply research-based recommendations to their own operations. Through on-farm trials, data collection, and collaboration with producers, he works to improve yields, profitability, and sustainability across the state.

Since its start in 1983, the SRVP has demonstrated the value of intensive management and science-backed practices on hundreds of commercial fields. Under Dr. Ross’s leadership, the program continues to bridge the gap between university research and real-world farming, providing proven strategies that help Arkansas soybean producers thrive.

“The biggest thing is education, not only for the farmers but for the county agents and consultants who work with them,” Ross said. “At the end of the day, it’s about giving back to the farmers through research and helping them be more successful.”

With his dedication and expertise, Dr. Ross continues to strengthen Arkansas’s soybean industry and support the producers who make it possible.
